This module discusses the structural barriers and health disparities that are prevalent among the transgender population. The minority stress model introduced in the module explores how sexual and gender minorities experience more stressors and how it relates to their health. Furthermore, the module offers strategies and resources for professionals to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for transgender patients, which ultimately serves to reduce these health disparities.
