The Heart of the Matter: Cardiovascular Health in People Living with HIV

This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk among people living with HIV and the underlying factors contributing to this risk. Participants will learn about current risk prediction tools available for assessing CVD risk in people living with HIV, as well as the findings and implications of the REPRIEVE trial.

Faculty
Carlos Malvestutto, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Malvestutto’s research has focused on cardiovascular complications of HIV as well as HIV cure strategies using broadly neutralizing antibodies. He is a member of the Reservoirs, Remission and Cure Transformative Science Group of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group and also serves in the Ending the HIV Epidemic Working Group of the HIV Medical Association.
