How to Access the Courses

STEP 1: REGISTER FOR THE CURRICULUM

  • Click the red “GET A FREE E-LEARNING LOGIN” button above.
  • Complete the form that is prompted in the new window.
  • Click “SUBMIT”.
  • If you already have an account: Click the pink “Log on and Enroll Now” button at the top right of the form FIRST. This will register your account for the group of Effi Barry Modules. THEN, you can scroll down and select individual modules.
  • Click “SUBMIT”.

*NOTE: You must sign up for a free e-learning login and complete the registration form VIA the pink buttons above in order to access the Modules. You cannot click straight on the “open this module” button before doing this.

*NOTE: After registering, you may or may not receive an email from brainshark.com depending on your email security settings. After registering, you can immediately go to step 2 and access the Module.

STEP 2: ACCESS INDIVIDUAL COURSES

  • AFTER  you have registered for the Module group by following the steps above, you can access the individual Modules by:
  • Returning to this Modules for Providers page and clicking on the module title below (not the pink button)
  • Click the “Open this Course” button and enter your username and password.
  • The Modules are self-paced. You can exit and return to the Module by clicking on the Module Title on Modules for Providers page. You will pick back up where you left off.

Joint Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and HealthHIV. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician Continuing Medical Education

The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ per module. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Continuing Pharmacy Education

Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this continuing education activity for 1.0 contact hour(s) (0.1 CEUs) of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education per module.

Continuing Nursing Education

The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 1.0 contact hours (per module).

CPH Credit

Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) is an approved provider of CPH Recertification Credits by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Public health professionals will receive 1.0 CPH credits (per module) for participating in this activity.

AAPA Credit Designation Statement

Postgraduate Institute for Medicine has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until 10/7/2021. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Social Worker Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 1.0 Clinical continuing education credits (per module).

Method of Participation and Request for Credit

There are no fees for participating and receiving CME/CE credit for this activity. Participants must read the learning objectives, faculty disclosures, and complete each educational activity. Once each activity is completed, you must pass the post-test with a score of 80% or better, and complete the online evaluation form. Upon successful completion of each activity, you will be provided an immediate certificate to download or print for your files.

For Pharmacists: Upon successfully completing the post-test with a score of 80% or better and the activity evaluation form, transcript information will be sent to the NABP CPE Monitor Service within 4 weeks.
